OUR JOURNEY

 

Ryan Cush Company Founder started MAM in 2013 hiring a single room at a local school, with around 18 students total.

  1. Learning Excellent Education: Ryan helped grow a company that supplied workshops to school, working with over 30 schools in the Midlands. Here he learnt the fundamental lessons of epic education.
  2. Support Schools & Local Community: We grew basically by helping local schools and communities by supplying free workshops, courses, clubs and supporting local events. This is a fundamental part of our company ethos, to boost the creative vibe in our areas of influence.
  3. Changing Lives Through Music: We started to work on a holistic music approach that creates a focus on personal development in lessons, develops life skills of discipline and organisational skill in practise and experience of working as a team in a band and live performances. 
  4. Stay Relevant: We always organise our training, teachers and content to be relevant before we work on the time tested tried and true teaching methodologies. 
  5. Adapt & Outcompete Ourselves: We innovate based on our customer and teacher feedback, we are simply not interested in other music schools or teachers. Our students drive the change that they want to see.
  6. It's Got To Be Fun: Learning with us is reward based education, we really, really care about how happy our students, parents and teachers are.

1. MUSIC LESSONS & LONG TERM PERSONAL SKILL BUILDING

Discipline, Practise, Overcoming Challenges are are all life skills needed to learn an instrument. Developing not only more confidence, but also the ability to rock.

2. GAIN ACCREDITED GRADES & EXPERIENCE HITTING DEADLINES

Along side your skill development, you can also gain accredited grades through which not only provided academic credentials (and UCAS points above grade 6) but also a tangible achievement.

3. OPPORTUNITIES TO TAKE PART IN SOLO & BAND PERFORMANCES

Applying your skill set in your bedroom is one thing, but putting those skills to work in the context of a solo recital or within a band allows you to gain team work skills and confidence to perform.

Our music teachers are our proudest part of the MAM squad and the entire business revolves around supporting the students and the our teachers in making sure they have safety credentials, leading edge mindset strategies for educational excellence and resources to ensure students get results with the most enjoyment.

THE MUSIC ACADEMY THREE PILLAR TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM

1. TEACHER TRAINING

The MAM method helps teacher develop two important aspects of their lessons- Firstly, how to be an excellent educator. Secondly, your resources and the content pathways we have for our students.

2. ROLLING 1/4 STRATEGY SESSION

Every 3 months we sit down to strategise for the next 3 months, which includes our own MAM teaching stat review, showing our teachers how to properly review their progress and planning the next 3 months.

3. GAINING SAFETY CREDENTIALS

Safety is our overarching principle before all else, this includes having a clean enhanced DBS check, gaining safeguarding course certification and constant student's wellbeing.
